On April 14, 2014 while in Madeira Beach, Florida between 2:00 AM and 4:15 AM we witnessed a total Lunar Eclipse. I had never photographed an eclipse so I was excited about the opportunity to do so. We got up at 1:45 AM and discovered I was no long so excited about this project. Still I hauled my sorry self and my gear down to the edge of the water and set up for the eclipse. It was a beautiful night, not too hot and just a bid cool. We watched the start of the eclipse as I fumbled around trying desperately to get everything set up correctly. Focus was a problem and getting the timed exposure right so as to see the eclipse and the details in the moon itself proved to be a challenge I failed at. Once we had a good sized eclipse going the details started to fall into place, still it was not perfect. I can tell you that the next day I felt like I had a hang over. Tale a look at what we got!
